Dr. Leonard attended Smith College for her undergraduate work and received her veterinary degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship in veterinary medicine and surgery at VCA Vet Care Referral Center and has remained in New Mexico since then. She joined VCA Town and Country as medical director in November, 2010. Her special interests include small animal internal medicine, cardiology and infectious diseases. In addition she holds strong interests in the human-animal bond and wildlife conservation. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the trails and back roads of New Mexico and Colorado. Dr. Leonard is married and shares her Albuquerque home with her husband and two children, two curious canine companions and one fiesty feline friend.
Dr. Carolyn N. Kincade was born and raised in Burlington, Wisconsin with many dogs, cats, and a pony named Joann. She earned an Associates in Science from North Iowa Area Community College and went on to Iowa State University where she graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology with a strong interest in English and Chemistry. Dr. Kincade graduated from veterinary school in May of 1992. She then did an internship in equine medicine and surgery. She has been working in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1995. Dr. Kincade passed her specialty boards and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in canine and feline practice in 1999. Dr. Kincade also has been specially trained and certified in animal chiropractic by The American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). Dr. Kincade resides in Peralta, New Mexico and works on horses and dogs from all disciplines. Her time of is spent horseback riding, gardening, and drawing.
