Dr. Voss is our Medical Director. He has been with VCA West Mesa since 2007. Dr. Voss is a Colorado State Alumni. Cameron has two dogs he cohabitates with, Jenny (an Aussie x) and Buster (Brittany Spaniel). On days that Dr. Voss is not on duty you'll likely find him in the New Mexican high chaparral winding the arroyos in his off road vehicle.
Dr. David Caffey has been practicing at VCA West Mesa since 1981! He obtained his degree at Colorado State and has special interests in small animals, exotics, and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Caffey is a hot air balloonist in his off time and an avid traveler.
Shiri Hoshen, DVM. Dr. Hoshen grew up near Chicago and received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Princeton University in 1993. She attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, graduating in 2001. Dr. Hoshen is a member of the AVMA, NMVMA, and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include general medicine and dentistry, acupuncture, and canine behavior. She is currently studying veterinary homeopathy. She has one cat and three dogs. When not working, Dr. Hoshen loves reading and talking about dogs. It is almost pathological: behavior, evolution, and genetics are her favorite topics. Ever the pessimistic optimist, Dr. Hoshen persists in trying to teach her bored Afghan hound, Gaddie, to retrieve a dumbbell.
Dr. Lenberg was born and raised in Albuquerque. While workding as a veterinary assistant she pursued a B.S. in biology from the University of New Mexico. She then decided to further her education by obtaining a Masters degree in biomedical sciences and veterinary anatomy at Colorado State University, graduating in 2007. She returned home for a year and dedicated her time towards working for the city's animal shelter as a surgical technician. The following year she returned to Colorado and completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at CSU in 2012. During her journey through veterinary school she continued working as an emergency veterinary technician and also participated in many spay and neuter programs in underserved, rural communities in California. During her senior year, Dr. Lenberg performed clinical research on canine parvovirus and presented her research findings at the Amercian College Veterinary Internal Medicine conference in 2012. After veterinary school, she completed a rigorous and competitive small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA's prestigious flagship hosptial in Los Angeles, VCA West LA. After completing her internship she returned to Albuquerque and is dedicated towards client education and providing the best possible care to her patients! Dr. Lenberg's areas of special interest include internal medicine, neurology, feline medicine, and emergency medicine. When not on the job, Jamie enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking with her golden retriever named Charlie, cooking, playing volleyball and snowboarding. She shares her home with Charlie, and her two cats Tobi and Savanna.
