  Chance Gauthier

  Chance was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and raised in Valencia County for the majority of his life. After law school, Chance missed the open spaces Valencia County could provide and moved back to Valencia County with his wife and kids. Chance is a proud member of the community and enjoys participating in community events throughout Los Lunas, Belen, Bosque Farms, and Peralta. Chance started his legal career with the Branch Law Firm, where he managed a mass tort product liability litigation. Chance was trained by the late Turner Branch on mass tort claims and personally oversaw the handling of hundreds of product liability claims. After garnering invaluable experience at the Branch Law Firm and igniting his passion for helping injured victims, Chance decided to go to law school. He attended the University of New Mexico School of Law and graduated in May 2017. After law school, Chance continued his passion of helping individuals injured because of the negligence of others. In time, Chance decided to grow his experience and knowledge and worked for a highly esteemed Civil Defense firm where Chance helped to defend the insurance companies he had devoted much of his career fighting. Chance was able to learn from some truly great attorneys and learned the ins and outs of the insurance industry, which gave Chance the tools and experience to set him apart from other attorneys and better represent injured victims in the State of New Mexico. After working on the Civil Defense side, Chance was selected for his high integrity to staff the New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission. Chance spent the next few years attempting to grow public confidence in the judiciary by ensuring the New Mexico judiciary met the high ethical standards required of it by the Code of Judicial Conduct. However, Chance's passion for helping injured victims throughout the State of New Mexico never diminished and after working with Shane Maier in the past, decided to join Shane in the constant pursuit of justice on behalf of injured victims throughout the State of New Mexico. Chance's experience includes obtaining successful verdicts at trial for injured victims in the State of New Mexico and providing great results for his clients. Chance handles some of the most complex civil claims in New Mexico including trucking accidents, construction defect claims, design defect claims, product liability claims, civil rights abuses, and insurance bad faith claims.

  Shane Maier

  Shane graduated in the top 10% of his law school class and received many distinguished awards including membership in the prestigious Order of the Coif. Prior to graduation, Shane was a legal assistant and paralegal at multiple law firms with over 10 years of experience working in litigation and appellate work, including U.S. Supreme Court Cases. Shane Maier Rated by Super Lawyers After graduation, Shane worked for the prestigious insurance defense and trial firm of O'Brien & Padilla, P.C. There he learned the ins and outs of insurance defense and how insurance companies financially evaluate cases. After a few years, Shane joined his law school classmate, Adam Oakey, and became his head attorney handling all personal injury cases for the Law Office of Adam Oakey. While there, Shane worked with Adam Oakey in becoming one of the fastest growing law firms in New Mexico working to recover money for its injured citizens. Now, Shane has started his own firm to provide individual and specialized attention for some of New Mexico's largest cases. Shane's experience includes obtaining successful results at trial for personal injury cases and providing great results for his clients. Shane takes on some of the hardest and most complex cases in New Mexico from civil right abuses and insurance bad faith.
